This morning I took a dip back into the Instagram that used to serve my first podcast, Something Better, which I changed to an IG account for this podcast, Real Progress. Many still may follow it without knowing that.
The cultural/political gap between the listeners I used to have and the ones I have now is VERY WIDE. But I was curious, is it shrinking? So this morning, I looked at a post from a woman sharing about her boycott of Elon Musk. She encouraged her followers to “call their representatives.” I was genuinely curious about what she wanted her followers to say to their reps, reminding her that our representatives work for us and on principle, should be transparent about an audit of taxpayer funds. She blocked me.
Then I saw a selfie video from a politically independent woman which I posted on the wild west of X. Relevant to a podcast for single girls, she said something like ‘wow this situation with DOGE? Democrats are like the cheating boyfriend to a girl who grabs his phone and locks herself in the bathroom to see his texts - while he bangs on the door saying, “you are violating my trust!” The cheating boyfriend avoids the reality that HE broke trust and was forced into a consequence of accountability.
That defines any elected representative who is defending and representing their own interests, and not us.
Why do I care so much? Because prominent liberal women weeping on the internet are helping their female followers ruin their own lives.
I want to help those women out of the hoodwink. I was in it too - it is just far, far worse now.
Liberal women did not cry in selfie videos when another unelected official named Bill Gates coerced (the opposite of love is coercion) women to enroll in an experimental shot to keep their job and their social status. Where was the outrage then? Musk isn’t even seeking to interrupt the endocrine systems of women. He is just leading a charge in doing the books on the republic, which belongs to each and every one of US.
If it was your bakery, you’d send him a thank you note.
It drives me bananas to see just how captured some women are, but it can end as quickly as lifting a light switch upwards in a darkened room.
Girls, c’mon, it is so fun to see through the hoodwink and be free!!!!!
