In a basic graph of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, “belonging” is in the center.
It isn’t until you seek some kind of therapy or recovery that you meet folks who clarify the bones of belonging, because they’re helping you face yourself, which requires examining unconscious motives.
Therapy and recovery peeps teach that your DNA still believes that the physiological needs covering the base of the triangle RELY on belonging. They say stuff like “know why crab fishermen don’t need lids on their buckets? Because when one tries to crawl out, the others pull him back into the bucket.” They get you to wonder about what you compromise on, just to belong. They beckon contemplation that your cells may still instinctively cause you to ignore the facts because you’re unconsciously afraid you’ll starve.
Because food, water, warmth, rest - according to the raw cells in your body (which contain awareness) require belonging to the tribe. Back in the day, if you didn’t belong in the tribe, you didn’t eat.
That is in our DNA.
This basic fact is still blurry for many who rely solely on mental conclusion and haven’t spent enough uncomfortable moments impatiently sensing their heart and spirit, and contemplating their motives. Many even refuse to contemplate God.
So belonging remains breezy, separate, complicated, and unrelated to physiological needs for many people. This is effective for sociopathic systems and people who seek control. Helping the sociopaths out means keepin it blurry.
Go on, just keep trusting how many “fact checkers” now say that Bill Gates doesn’t talk about reducing the population, even though that was precisely the topic for the decade that we all became aware of his creepy, squeaky voice. ‘It’s ok, he’s rich, he’s philanthropic, I don’t know it’s something we all need and wouldn’t understand. My neighbor squeaks about how he is an unelected ill-equipped psycho. She doesn’t belong.’
It is just very handy for the elite officialdom today, that no one thinks deeply about belonging. In fact, make it “belongingNESS” :
Chris Bray is like the best professor you ever had- often unpopular in present time, but the one you never forget.
Why? Because of his timeless demand that you remain accountable for critically thinking and knowing why your conclusions stand. All of mainstream news (and its strategic opinion pieces) is built on Scientology’s almost-bulletproof gimmick:
smear and humilate in public, threaten belonging, expect compliance with the controllers.
Offer shallow conclusion without facts, threaten the person’s social position. Only there’s a twist now. Most people getting smeared in public by “officialdom” do not care and are not moved. It is the READER who must comply to Scientology’s strategy, and if they look further and challenge the voice of compliance, belonging is threatened.
That’s all officialdom has now. They are down to the studs.
I double dog dare you to find out that belonging is still ABUNDANT, all over the place….it just might be uncomfortable for a bit…
I wrote this whole piece just to ask you to read this. Please! Read this. Restacking wasn’t enough.
